The colors of particles are dependent on the vertex colors of each particle; SetColor won't do anything.

Color and alphas _in code_ go from 0 to 1. In other words, solid light grey is (0.75, 0.75, 0.75, 1) and pink is (1, 0.5, 0.5, 1) Setting alpha to 20 should make it "super opaque" (which looks like...
